The Upward Call is the prize of the believer according to Philippians 3:12-14.

"Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the prized of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

The apostle Paul describes a race in which there is a goal or finish line with a prize waiting at the end of the race. The goal is to finish the race - the prize is heaven. In between is the work of running the race.

That work of running the race is the focus of this website. The beauty of being a believer is being able to grow into Christ-likeness. The wonder of being a believer is that God gave us a plan with specific directions on winning the race and becoming Christ-like - His word. The purpose of this website is to provide women with the tools for understanding and using God's plan.

I have been inspired and sometimes overwhelmed by the picture of the woman of God in Proverbs 31. Her strengths and drive to serve seem almost unreal. But nothing in Scripture is unreal. And every example of a godly person is provided throughout Scripture with directions on how to incorporate that person's characteristics into one's own life. The reason for this is each godly person in the Bible examples some of the characteristics of the Lord Jesus Christ.

All of the information given on this website will be for the express purpose of leading women to becoming women of God in the image of Christ.
